On Thursday, May 27, 1976, at the Olympic Auditorium, in Los Angeles, California, in a four-rounder following the main event, Diane Syverson scored a split decision win over Princess Red Star Teresa Kibby. The women had fought to a draw two week ago in San Jose, California.
In the main event, Howard Smith, the fourth-ranked heavyweight title contender knocked out Dan Johnson in the 10th Round. Smith, Califorina heavyweight champion knocked Johnson down in the ninth round, then pu him down to stay at 1:21 of the last round of a scheduled 10 rounder.
