Tonight the long-awaited fight will take place with Mikaela Mayer, 12-0-0 (5KO), of Colorado Springs, Colorado, who faces Helen Joseph, 17-4-2 (10KO), of Hamden, Connecticut. The two will be fighting a non-title ten round bout, in the main event at “The Bubble” at the MGM Hotel, in Las Vegas, Nevada. It will be televised on ESPN, and promoted by Top Rank. At the weigh-in, Mayer weighed in at 131.5, and Joseph was 129. /Top Rank

The COVID-19 once again reared it’s ugly head….On Monday it was reported that Jamel Herring tested positive for for the virus, when he was set to fight Jonathan Oquendo. So in their replacement, the female bout was placed in the main event slot.
