Latest Update on the International Women’s Boxing Hall of Fame! Source: IWBHF Press Release

(JULY 13) The International Women’s Boxing Hall of Fame (IWBHF) is happy to announce the latest addition to our event that takes place on Saturday, October 22, 2022, at the Orleans Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas, Nevada.

We have quite a line-up thus far for our IWBHF Induction Ceremony that is definitely a “Don’t Miss History-Making Event”.  We will be  celebrating the largest class ever for our organization that is 16 IWBHF inductees for 2022.

Our theme this year is “Celebration” especially after what we have endured in the last two years.  We are anticipating a sold-out affair with honoring not only our 2022 Inductees but those receiving special awards for what they have accomplished in the sport.

So without further ado…..Here are some updates!

Earlier today we confirmed that high-profile and celebrity Christy “The Coal Miner’s Daughter” Martin who just got inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame—and also she is one of our inductees from 2014 will be a special guest.  Martin will have her book-signing available during our “Meet and Greet”!  To read the five-star book, you can purchase the book beforehand our event, or buy one at the event.  link on Amazon for book.

Also we have confirmed the following of the “Who’s Who” of women’s boxing and More! This WILL be the largest gathering of female boxers (retired, active) in 2022. This includes our inductees, champions, hall of Famers, special guests, etc. :

Jill Morley Award-Winning Producer/Director of “Fight Like A Girl” along with her exemplary team will be filming our event and interviews. Boxing Trainer and Manager, Luis Tapia; retired World champion Wayne McCullough, his wife Cheryl McCullough;

We have Coyote Duran of Chicago, Illinois, “Coyote Duran’s Creation Nation” who is part of our IWBHF event who will be utilizing his talents as an artist to present some beautiful rendition(s) of our 2022 event. Duran said that when he was very young before he had become a writer and copy/content editor for RingTV.com, he began his journey into drawing—and with bit of imagination and a huge love affair with comic books and more.

We have also invited the very talented singer “The Wy Mac” who was featured on “Ireland’s Got Talent” to perform our “theme” song of the 2022 Celebration! She also was part of our event in our 2020-2021 IWBHF event.

The October 22, 2022 semi-formal induction ceremony will begin at 5:00 p.m., with the popular meet/greet with the honorees and invited special guests along with the now traditional signing of the 7’ high historical banner by every female boxer.

Dinner will be served at 6:00 p.m., with the induction ceremony scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m.
