1976: Diane Syverson defeats Teresa Kibby on Televised Card

As we continue to see the history of the sport mis-documented especially in regards to the “History Firsts” as you see referred to in this write up they are stating that the first ever TELEVISED women’s boxing bout to take place, occurred on May 27, 1976—-but we have earlier documentation that actually Barbara Buttrick was in the first televised fight in 1954.   Source/Glove Magazine (defuncted for many years) December 1980 issue, Page 10.
