History Embarrassment to Women’s Boxing: Why is this for a world title? This is no more than a lukewarm “tune up” fight

WBAN has only one question:  Why in the world is this a world title fight?

On Saturday night, June 4, 2022, at the Ulrich-Pfeiffer-Halle, Aalen, Baden-Württemberg, Germany, Ema Kozin, 21-1-1, is fighting Szilvia Szabados, 18-18-0 for a vacant WBF Super Welterweight title.  (According to online source)

Kozin fought in her last fight the likes of Claressa Shields where Kozin suffered her first professional loss in the sport.

Now, for her next fight after losing to Shields fighting at 159 in the middleweight division is now fighting as a super welterweight at 154?
And now this Saturday, she fights Szabados for a world title no less.

Szabados has lost seven fights out of her last eight fights, and has not fought since 2020.

Seriously, WBF—they are fighting for a vacant WBF Super Welterweight World Title?

Come on—Your organization can do better than this.

Matches as fights like this have no place in today’s sport for world title bouts.

Women’s boxing right now is on fire!

Don’t put the fire out in the sport having such inferior, inappropriate world title fights as this one that will take place on Saturday.
