It’s a Rap for 2012 – Happy Holidays to All – by Sue TL Fox

(DEC 24)  Firstly, I would like to wish “Happy Holidays” to everyone,  to WBAN readers, and those on WBAN’s Facebook. I want to also give a  personal  “thank you” to all of you who have helped WBAN throughout the year, submitting great stories and photos about the female boxers. All of these contributors are some of the major reasons why WBAN is what it is today.

This has been an extraordinary year for the sport, and a history-making year  for female boxers in 2012. To be able to see the amateur female boxers receiving such an opportunity to fight in the 2012 Olympics in London, has been one of the biggest singular historical event to happen in the sport of all time.

This year we have seen many inspirational stories with the female boxers; we have seen very high-profile fights take place, low-profile fights take place; and the list goes on.

But with that said, we will have all those details listed in our most significant segment that we have on WBAN yearly—-which is our yearly awards.  We will publish those “picks” soon.

I hope that all of you had a great 2012, and I know that I look forward to 2013 to be even a better year to come!
