Lady Fight Manager Receives Manager’s License from New York – May 22, 1958

In the Daily Review, on May 22, 1958, on Page 23, they report that the New York State Athletic Commission has granted a manager’s license to Elnora Loftis of Detroit, Michigan, who at the time was the co-manager of Louis Jones, a heavyweight boxing champion.  Miss Loftis was the nation’s first known female boxing manager at this time.
