HELEN HILDRETH, the Lady Pugilist, was having the best of it in a MIXED FIGHT with Johnny Atkinsson, when the POLICE and BOXING COMMISSION Fred Wenck jumped into the RING and ORDERED the stop to fight! – Grupp’s Gym, N.Y.C.
In another publication, they reported the following HILDRETH: Tonight, the vaudeville that was the talk of the town last Miss Helen Hildreth, the boxing girl, will fight in a three-round bout, assisted by assisted by John Atkinson in “Fighting” It Out.” This young lady is the only girl who ever defeated a man in a prize ring.
