RPM Boxing’s Response to Laila Ali – Johnny McClain – 2004

(JUNE 22) WACO, TX- RPM Boxing said today that the response by Laila “Ali” McClain and her husband, trainer, manager, promoter and whatever Johnny McClain would be comical if it wasn’t so sad.

It is sad to see the great legacy of Muhammad Ali squandered by a daughter who refuses to take on the best pound for pound female boxer in the world, Ann Wolfe (Ann Wolfe holds world championship titles in four weight classes, a feat unparalleled in women’s boxing and very rare in men’s boxing).

As can easily be determined from their response Johnny McClain and his boxer wife think that they are the know-all be-all to the world of women’s boxing.  When in reality boxing fans are tired of their constant chatter and would like to see Laila live up to her name sake which so far she has refused to do.
