FRANCE TO HOLD WOMEN’S BOXING MEET
NEW YORK – Sept 4 – Putting the sports shot here and there—In France the women pugilists take themselves seriously and the FIRST INTERNATIONAL WOMEN’s BOXING UNION is in the process of formation…..The present star over there is a stream-lined middleweight Mlle TAMARIS….At Vaudville resently , TAMARIS fought three rounds to a DRAW against Eugene Huat challenger for the world’s bantamweight title. (Unknown if Eugene is a female or a male). Will continue to research this.
Sue "TL" Fox, Multi-Hall of Famer, award-winning pioneer boxer rated #1 in the world in 1979, and creator/founder of WBAN™. She was named in the Feb. 2012 Commemorative issue of Ring Magazine as one of the Top-Ten Most Influential female boxers of all time.
