(MAY 26) After years of speculation fans of boxing are buzzing with about Holly “The Preacher’s Daughter” Holm returning to the ring! The former multi-world champion, known for her striking skills and combat sports legacy, is set to fight Yolanda Guadalupe Vega on June 28th at the Honda Center in Anaheim, California.
Holly Holm isn’t a stranger to achieving greatness in the boxing world. With a boxing record of 33 wins, 2 losses, and 3 draws, including 9 knockouts, Holm cemented her status as a formidable competitor. She was also a three-time WBAN P4P World Champion title holder.

Her boxing abilities paved the way for her successful transition to mixed martial arts, where she gained international fame by capturing the UFC Women’s Bantamweight Championship in 2015.
Holm’s anticipated return will take place on June 28th, under the banner of Jake Paul’s Most Valuable Promotions. She will be facing off against 29-year-old Yolanda Guadalupe Vega, who holds an undefeated record of 10-0-0. While Vega may be younger and without the extensive experience that Holm brings to the ring, the fight promises to be a compelling showdown.
This bout will span ten rounds, each lasting two minutes, and will be contested in the lightweight division. Given Holm’s career accomplishments and extensive experience against top contenders, it will be interesting to see how Vega rises to the challenge.
Holm’s return to the ring comes at a significant time for women’s boxing, which has been steadily gaining traction and popularity. The fight against Vega will feature as a preliminary bout leading up to a main event that fans won’t want to miss, all broadcasted live on DAZN pay-per-view.
Holm has been a trailblazer in this regard. Her induction into the International Women’s Boxing Hall of Fame in 2017 and the New York International Boxing Hall of Fame in 2022 are testaments to her contributions to the sport. With several Fighter of the Month accolades from WBAN throughout her career, Holm continues to be an inspiration for many young boxers, demonstrating that hard work and dedication can lead to monumental achievements.
At 43 years old, some may question if Holm still has what it takes to compete at this level. Her rich history in boxing, coupled with her competitive spirit, suggests that Holm may be ready to remind the world why she is a legend.
